Montesino is organized as a firm: every mandate has a lead partner, technical competencies are activated by practice, leadership remains always senior. Professionals who join Montesino grow through grades, along a formal path that reflects the experience gained and the quality of work delivered.

Every mandate has a partner who signs the engagement letter and leads the process from set-up to closing.

Competencies by practice

M&A, debt, capital markets, restructuring, real estate: activated according to the dossier, not as rigid silos.

Always senior leadership

No handoff to juniors. The partner who signs is the same who sits in negotiation and holds the line with the counterparty.

Professional grades

Four grades, one path.

Professional progression follows a formal structure. Each grade corresponds to a perimeter of technical responsibility, a level of client interaction, and on-the-job experience.

01

Analyst

0–2 years of experience

Financial analysis of accounts and business plans, building of valuation models, due diligence support, preparation of process materials (information memorandum, teaser, management presentation). Works under the leadership of a Senior Associate or Partner.

02

Associate

2–5 years of experience

Execution of complete workstreams within the mandate: data room management, coordination with third-party advisors, drafting of contractual documents under supervision, presence on calls with client and counterparties. Begins to build an autonomous technical perimeter.

03

Senior Associate

5–10 years of experience

Autonomous management of significant portions of the mandate, direct engagement with client and counterparties, coordination of the junior team on the dossier. Vertical specialization by practice or sector. Contributes to the preparation of pitches and proposals.

Partner

10+ years, internal track or lateral entry

Leadership of the mandate from origination to closing. Signs the engagement letter, holds direct accountability with the client, oversees the entire process at the senior level. Contributes to firm strategy and to the admission of new partners. Equity profile.

Technical conversation

If the profile is of interest, we set up a technical interview with one or more partners. The discussion covers experience gained, cases handled, and approach to work. Confidential and direct.

Onboarding

If the outcome is positive, we define the entry grade, the area of assignment, and the way you will be integrated into active mandates. The growth path begins on day one.
